Asanda Mbewu, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Anda Consulting International, is an accomplished professional, strategist, and socio-economic development specialist.
He possesses extensive expertise in economics, local government and broader government operations. With substantial experience in both rural and urban contexts, he brings a well-rounded perspective to development initiatives, making him a strategic asset.
He was a member of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Council from 2000 to 2006, where he refined his leadership capabilities. Asanda holds a Master of Commerce in Economics, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies. In addition, he is a certified Training Facilitator and Assessor.
Asanda has authored several accredited development training resource books, including:

Most recently, he developed a standard for Stakeholder Relations Management on Development Projects—commonly known as Social Facilitation in South Africa. These accredited training manuals are currently utilised to build capacity among members of the public, civil society organisations, young professionals, and government officials.
Since the mid-1990s, Asanda has conceptualised and led numerous catalytic socio-economic development programmes in South Africa. He has also collaborated with various international development agencies.
